Commercial Banking Intern

REPORTS TO: Credit Administration Manager

DEPARTMENT: Commercial Banking

EMPLOYEE TYPE: Temporary

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Commercial Banking Intern will assist the commercial services, credit, and cash management teams, on various projects as assigned. This position will gain exposure in multiple facets of the bank, obtaining a general overview of the banking industry but focusing on commercial lending.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new projects that are data and systems related, focused on utilizing the bank’s software including:
    • nCino
    • Silverlake
  • Gain exposure to financial statements of all levels of quality.
  • Provide a wide variety of administrative support functions to the commercial credit area as needed.
  • Assist in preparation of data for the collateral analysis, and evaluating financial data.
  • Assist in coordinating specific projects surrounding new procedures and improvements to the credit process as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Junior or senior standing in active pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance related discipline required.
