BlackFem Fellowship

BlackFem, Inc. is a 501(C)3 organization that partners with low-income schools to implement customized financial literacy curriculum during the school day. Through our BlackFem At School programs we reach students of all genders, certify teachers as Wealth Educators, and also offer family programming. In these ways we empower the entire community to shatter the status quo and play a part in closing the wealth gap. BlackFem At School currently reaches nearly 15,000 students in over 100 schools across the country.

The BlackFem At School (BFAS) Fellow is critical to ensuring that our school partners feel supported. Our fellows will interact directly with school faculty, staff, and students as the face of BlackFem, Inc in addition to becoming Wealth Educators through our certification program. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading curriculum lessons for students (monthly)
• Helping facilitate teacher professional development and family workshops (monthly)
• Gathering and synthesizing program feedback from teachers and students
• Delivering curriculum material to students and teachers

This is a part-time fellowship with a minimum time commitment of one school semester. We do offer college credit, and there is room to grow alongside us as we expand our reach across the country. We are a young, fast-growing organization that is flexible, passionate and values self-care. Come work with us - we currently have open positions in Rochester, New York City, Chicago, and Newark!
