Information Technology Intern (Voluntary Position)

Villa of Hope is looking for an Information Technology Intern to join our team!

Summary
The Information Technology Intern will provide support for the daily operations of the Information Technology Department with attention to the general helpdesk support functions, as well as gaining experience in other areas of IT to include networking, communication systems, and more.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist IT staff with Helpdesk functions, to include answering calls and triaging trouble tickets.
  • Assist IT staff in the troubleshooting of equipment and software issues.
  • Assist IT staff in conducting training and orientation sessions.
  • Help update and maintain IT asset inventory and network map.
  • Actively participate in the IT Team work session, as time allows.
  • In coordination with the intern, other tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Strong oral, written and interactive communication skills are a must. Intern should be skilled in effective troubleshooting. Candidate must also have the ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality and convey a positive and professional image to both internal and external customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Information Technology degree program, Instructional Technology degree program or a degree program with concentration in IT. Associate’s or Bachelors’ level is preferred.  Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office strongly preferred.
