Alliant Energy is currently recruiting for an intern to work on our Talent Acquisition - Human Resources team! This position can start interning now through the school year and would continue throughout the 2019 summer - see below for additional details.
  • Pay: Competitive wage earning $14.00 - $16.00 an hourdependent on year in school completed
  • Hours: flexible hours through the school year and 8:00AM-5:00PM during the summer of 2019
  • Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities :
As a Talent Acquisition (HR) Intern you will assist in the day to day operations of our Human Resources team; providing support to the Talent Acquisition department and exposure to other areas of Human Resources. Sample projects will include the following:
  • Employment branding via social media
  • Creation of job postings
  • Candidate resume review and phone screening
  • Recruitment event planning and attendance
  • Internship program support (supporting summer intern events, logistics, ect)
  • Exposure to other areas of Human Resources
  • Other project as assigned
Job Qualifications :
Required:
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communication or related majors are encouraged to apply.
Preferred:
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Organizational involvement/leadership experience related to this position
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs
  • Familiarity with HR practices and guidelines
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Capable of asking questions and interacting with team to enhance experience
  • A strong desire and enthusiasm to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment
