About Amazon

Earth's most customer-centric company When launched in 1995, it was with the mission “to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online, and endeavors to offer its customers the lowest possible prices.” This goal continues today, but Amazon’s customers are worldwide now, and have grown to include millions of Consumers, Sellers, Content Creators, and Developers & Enterprises. Each of these groups has different needs, and we always work to meet those needs, innovating new solutions to make things easier, faster, better, and more cost-effective.

Software Development Engineering Intern

June 2019 - August 2019 Santa Clara, CA
“The work I was doing was impactful. Code I wrote was being put into production while I was an intern, so I got to see the development process from start to finish. The team I worked with was also very easy to work with, and the manager was very relaxed about scheduling. If I had a conflict or needed to shift my hours around one week, it was very easy to do so. Also, I heard from other internships that sometimes the companies wouldn't really know exactly what to do with their interns, and might not have work for them. Amazon was very prepared for me, and even had extra features for me to work on if I was to finish the main goals early.”
